Plus and Cloud Photo Backup
BaubleStash Plus is the optional paid plan for larger collections and private cloud photos.
Plus costs $9.99 USD per year as the base price. On the website, Stripe shows the actual amount with applicable taxes before payment; in the mobile app, the store shows its localized price and renewal terms.
What Plus includes
- Practical unlimited physical copies in your personal My Stash
- Private Cloud Photo Backup
- The ability to Share my stash with family
- The same scanning, search, boxes, labels, and catalog contributions as Free
Plus does not make your collection public. It does not publish photos. It does not change who can see your private records.
Buy Plus
You can subscribe on the website at Account & Plus → Continue to secure checkout (Stripe), or in the mobile app when the store products are available. See Subscriptions and retention for renewal, cancellation and refund details.
Turn on Cloud Photo Backup
You must turn backup on. It is not automatic.
Mobile app
- Open More.
- Find Cloud Photo Backup.
- Select Enable cloud backup.
- Read the explanation.
- Confirm.
Website
- Open Account & Plus.
- Find Private cloud-photo backup.
- Select Enable backup.
You can turn backup off later. Turning it off stops new uploads; it does not delete existing cloud photos.
What happens when backup is on
- Supported mobile photos can be uploaded to your private account.
- The mobile app shows Waiting to back up while a photo is queued.
- When it completes, the photo can appear on other signed-in devices.
- Shared recipients can see cloud photos only for copies in the shared collection.
Local photos remain on the phone as well. Cloud backup is an additional copy, not a replacement for your device’s storage.
What happens when backup is off
- New photos stay on the phone.
- Existing cloud photos are not deleted just because you turned backup off.
- Sharing may still work for photos that were already backed up.
- The website cannot show device-only photos.
Photo limits and privacy
Plus provides reasonable private photo storage for a personal collection. It is not unlimited original-resolution storage, and BaubleStash does not promise infinite storage.
Photos are optimized and metadata is stripped before storage. Only you and people you explicitly share with can see them.
Fair use
Plus is meant for a personal collection. We monitor unusually large private-photo usage so one account cannot affect storage or cost for everyone. If your collection is far above a normal size, we contact you to agree on options such as exporting or removing photos you no longer need.
BaubleStash does not delete your photos, block uploads or charge extra automatically because of storage size. Any change is discussed with you first, except where the law or a serious abuse investigation requires action.
If Plus is not active
The app will show cloud backup as unavailable or paused. Your existing records and local photos remain.
You can still use Free features and accept a collection shared by a Plus owner.
