Find, move, and edit boxes ​

Find which box holds an ornament ​

From My Stash ​

  1. Search for the ornament.
  2. Look at the Storage column on the website, or the box line on the mobile shelf.
  3. Open the ornament to see the box for each copy.

From a box ​

  1. Open Boxes.
  2. Open the box.
  3. Review its contents.

By scanning ​

On mobile, scan the box label and select Open box.

Move a copy to another box ​

Website ​

  1. Open the ornament.
  2. Select the pencil icon on the copy.
  3. Change Storage box.
  4. Select Save changes.

Mobile app ​

  1. Open the ornament.
  2. Open the copy.
  3. Select Box.
  4. Choose the new box or No box.
  5. Confirm.

A copy can be in only one box. Moving it removes it from the previous box.

Edit a box ​

Website ​

  1. Open the box.
  2. Select Edit box.
  3. Change the name, location, or notes.
  4. Select Save box.

Mobile app ​

  1. Open the box.
  2. Select Edit.
  3. Change the details.
  4. Select Save box.

Renaming a box does not move its ornaments. Changing the location does not change the label.

Remove all ornaments from a box ​

Move each copy to another box or to No box. The current consumer screens do not provide a box-delete action, so the box remains in the list.

An empty box is still useful. You can keep it labeled and ready for next season, or edit its name and location for a new purpose.

Duplicate or conflicting labels ​

BaubleStash allows one code per box within your collection. If you try to use a code that is already assigned:

  • The app may open the existing box instead.
  • The app may explain that the code is already in use.
  • You can choose a different label.

Do not try to force the same code onto two boxes. It will make scanning ambiguous.

A label is damaged or unreadable ​

  1. Open the box by name.
  2. Print a new BaubleStash QR label.
  3. Attach the new label.
  4. Scan it once to confirm.
  5. Remove or cover the damaged label if possible.

The box, its contents, and its notes stay the same.

A box is missing from the list ​

  • Make sure you are signed in to the right account.
  • Check whether the box was created on another device and has not synced.
  • Search My Stash for the box name.
  • See Fix syncing problems.

Private by default. Your ornaments and photographs stay yours.
