Platform administration
The Administration area is available only to Platform Administrators. It uses the same BaubleStash sign-in; there is no separate administrator password or website.
Find it
After signing in as a Platform Administrator, open Administration in the main navigation. Its child menu opens:
- Overview — recent imports and activity
- Access & roles — Platform Administrators, Librarians, and user search
- Catalog imports — Universal Catalog Import packages
- Automation — scoped catalog-import credentials
- Logs — diagnostic events for troubleshooting
- Audit — platform and catalog-import audit history
Manage Librarians
Librarians review catalog contributions. Platform administration and Librarian access are separate roles.
- Open Administration → Access & roles.
- Search for a registered user by name or email.
- Select Grant Librarian or Revoke Librarian.
- Or open Edit user to manage both roles on one page.
Role changes are recorded in the audit history and the platform logs.
Edit a user
- Open Administration → Access & roles.
- Search for the user and select Edit user.
- Change the display name, profile photo, or public-profile privacy.
- Select Save user details or upload a photo.
Uploaded photos are cropped and stripped of metadata. Removing a custom photo falls back to the user’s sign-in provider photo when one exists.
You can also grant or revoke Platform Administrator and Librarian roles on the same page. The last active Platform Administrator cannot be removed.
Platform administrator accounts and Plus
Every Platform Administrator is treated as a Plus user while the role is active. This unlocks practical unlimited owned copies, private cloud-photo backup, and owner sharing without creating a paid store subscription. Removing the role returns the account to its own subscription record.
Diagnostic logs
Administration → Logs shows recent errors and security-relevant events: sign-in failures, email verification, role changes, profile edits, avatar changes, and server errors. Use the level and event filters to narrow the list.
Logs never include passwords, session tokens, verification or recovery codes, or payment details. Entries are retained for a limited operational period.
