Words used in BaubleStash
Best copy
A designation for one preferred physical copy of a design. It can appear as a badge and influence which photo My Stash uses. The current consumer screens display it but do not provide a toggle to change it.
Box
A real storage place, such as a tote, shelf, or closet. A BaubleStash box is not the original manufacturer packaging.
Can Edit
A sharing permission that lets a recipient add copies and change condition or notes in a shared collection. It does not allow deletion, box moves, photo changes, or sharing management.
Catalog
The shared public reference of ornament designs, releases, identifiers, and approved photos. It is separate from My Stash.
Cloud Photo Backup
A Plus feature that privately stores uploaded ornament photos in your BaubleStash account so they can appear on other signed-in devices and in shared collections.
Copy
One physical ornament in your home. Each copy has its own condition, notes, box, release, and photos.
Design
The ornament idea or model, such as “Snowflake Angel.” A design can have several releases and several owned copies.
Edition
A named variant of a release, such as “Member Exclusive” or “Premier.” An edition is not the same as a condition.
Free
The included BaubleStash plan with up to 100 physical owned copies, boxes, scanning, local photos, and catalog contributions.
Invitation code
A one-time code sent by email when a Plus owner shares My Stash. It expires after seven days.
Librarian
A trusted BaubleStash role that reviews catalog contributions before publication.
Local photo
A photo stored only on the mobile device. Free photos are local. They are not uploaded to BaubleStash.
Manufacturer item number
The maker’s printed code, such as QDB2462. It is not a retail barcode.
My Stash
Your private default collection. It contains your ornament designs, physical copies, boxes, notes, and photos.
Plus
The optional annual plan with practical unlimited copies, private cloud-photo backup, and owner sharing. Intended price: $9.99 USD per year, with store pricing.
Release
A particular version of a design, identified by year, edition, packaging, or manufacturer item number. A copy can be linked to a release or left as Release unknown.
Release unknown
A valid state for a physical copy whose exact release has not been identified. It keeps its box, notes, condition, and photos.
Shared with me
The area where a recipient opens collections another collector shared.
View Only
A sharing permission that allows looking and opening shared cloud photos but no changes.
Waiting to sync
A mobile status meaning the change is saved on the phone but has not reached your BaubleStash account yet.
