Report a catalog problem

The shared catalog is a public reference. If an ornament or photo is wrong, or you believe it should not be published, you can report it.

You do not need a BaubleStash account to report a problem.

What you can report

  • Copyright or image rights — a photo or description is used without permission.
  • Trademark or brand use — a name or logo is used incorrectly.
  • Privacy — public catalog content exposes something that should not be public.
  • Accuracy — the ornament name, maker, year, release or item number is wrong.

For a wrong year or item number, Suggest correction on the ornament page is usually faster because it uses the normal review queue. Use the report form when the problem is about rights, privacy or a serious inaccuracy.

Send a report

  1. Open Report a catalog problem.
  2. Paste the link to the catalog ornament, or its ID if you have it.
  3. Choose your relationship to the content and the type of problem.
  4. Add your email so a Librarian can reply. It is not published.
  5. Describe the problem and send.

You will receive a reference for the report. A Librarian reviews it before anything changes.

What happens next

A Librarian reviews the report and may:

  • Correct the catalog entry.
  • Hide the reported catalog photo or entry while it is reviewed.
  • Reject the report if the content is correct or permitted.

Hiding a catalog entry does not delete anyone's private stash. Your own copies, notes and photos are separate from the shared catalog.

If you are a rights holder

Include enough detail for us to identify the work and your authority, such as the original source and the specific photo or description. Do not send identity documents through this form; a Librarian will arrange a safer channel if needed.

Private by default. Your ornaments and photographs stay yours.
